Posh were second best for large parts of Wednesday night’s match against Stevenage but were handed a chance to go ahead from the spot.
They took that chance and showed their promotion credentials by holding on to that lead.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Out of this world, 9-Brilliant, 8-Excellent, 7-Very Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Stinker
9. JOEL RANDALL
Substituted before the hour mark after making no impact on the game whatsoever 5. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
10. KWAME POKU
He is really staking a claim to be played as a number ten from the start as he looked far more influential there than on the wing. Reacted well when Mothersille picked him out in the box and made no mistake with the finish. 7.5. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
11. RICKY-JADE JONES
Another who had little impact, always runs but did it to no avail. Hooked early with Randall and his replacement also fared far better. 5. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
12. MALIK MOTHERSILLE (for Jones 57 mins)
Instantly become a presence that Posh could use to hold up the ball and did brilliantly on two occasions to claim assists for the second and third goals. Helped swing the game in Posh's favour after looking second best for long periods. 8. Photo: Joe Dent
