It’s been a year of two halves for Posh with a brilliant promotion from League One followed by a dismal start to life in the Championship.
Here are all the facts and figures from a year that has been exciting, frustrating, but certainly never dull!
21. TOP 10 CROWD
The 28,308 who watched Posh lose at Forest (pictured) in November was the ninth biggest attendance to watch Posh in a Football League match.
22. SMALLEST CROWDS
Posh played 30 matches in 2021 behind closed doors. The Carabao Cup tie at home to Plymouth (pictured) was the next lowest attendance. Lowest gates: 1) 4,021 v Plymouth (home), 2) 7,983 v Huddersfield (home), 3) 8,534 v Cardiff (home), 4) 8,560 v Bristol City (home), 5) 8,971 v Bournemouth (home).
23. A MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
Posh beat Accrington 7-0 at London Road in March, equalling the club’s biggest margin of victory in a Football League match at London Road after 8-1 v Oldham (1969) and 7-0 v Barrow (1971) and Brentford (2007). Idris Kanu is pictured scoring against Accrington.
24. MANAGERIAL MILESTONES
The 1-1 home draw with Huddersfield in November was Darren Ferguson’s 500th game as Posh manager. The 2-0 defeat at Norringham Forest in December was his 700th competitive match as a manager. Ferguson is pictured receiving a gift from the club to mark his 500th game.
