It’s been a year of two halves for Posh with a brilliant promotion from League One followed by a dismal start to life in the Championship.
Here are all the facts and figures from a year that has been exciting, frustrating, but certainly never dull!
5. CLUB RECORD
Jonson Clarke-Harris scored in seven successive competitive matches v Tranmere (away), Crewe (home), Ipswich (home), Gillingham (away), Wimbledon (home), Plymouth (away) and Wigan (home). No-one has ever done that before in the club’s Football League era, although Dennis Emery scored in 12 consecutive games in the club’s Midland League era. 6. RED CARDS
Posh picked up just two red cards in 2021. Nathan Thompson at Lincoln City and Ethan Hamilton (pictured) at home to Hull City.
7. YELLOW CARDS
Defender Nathan Thompson (pictured) picked up the most Posh cautions in 2021. Most yellow cards - 12 Nathan Thompson, 11 Frankie Kent, 10 Mark Beevers, 9 Dan Butler, 8 Jack Taylor, 5 Oliver Norburn, 5 Siriki Dembele.
8. BIGGEST WINS
The 7-0 win over Accrington at the Weston Homes Stadium in March was the biggest Posh win of 2021. Mo Eisa (pictured) scored the sixth goal. Biggest wins: 1) ) 7-0 v Accrington (home), 2) 5-1 v Portsmouth (home), 3) 4-1 v Doncaster (away), plus five 3-0 wins v AFC Wimbledon (home), Birmingham (home), MK Dons (home), Plymouth (away) and Swindon (away).
