The game finished 3-0 thanks to two late Jack Marriott goals after Posh had been content to sit back and soak up plenty of Salford pressure.
All in all, it was a professional performance that Posh never looked in trouble in.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Steady, 5-Poor, 4-Very Poor.
5. BEN THOMPSON
Didn't enjoy playing against Odin Bailey in the second half but he got better as the half went on. Did an admirable job filling in again and got forward enough to get some good crosses into the box. 7. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
6. HECTOR KYPRIANOU
Didn't always show the best awareness with his passing and gave away the ball too often in the first half. Did pop up in a couple of good positions in the box and could have got himself a goal if he connected with a Burrows cross. May have had a bit of rustiness too. Did pick up an assist though with a simple lay-off to Marriott for his third. 6.5. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
7. JEANDO FUCHS
A comfortable game for the midfielder who looked assured on the ball when he picked it up 7. Photo: Joe Dent
8. HARRISON BURROWS
Put in the corner that Marriott headed in and perhaps should have had a goal himself early in the first half. Passed the ball well on a special night when he made his 100th appearance for the club. 7.5. Photo: David Lowndes
