Peterborough United’s greater ambition was the key to beating Wigan
It was a fourth defeat in a row for Wigan and a fourth win in a row for Posh. Wigan haven’t scored an open play goal in those four matches.
Jonson Clarke-Harris’s third goal of the campaign was enough to clinch victory for Posh.

“But it’s just the end product. It’s all about putting the ball in the back of the net.
“Again we had a lot of possession, but I thought Peterborough did more with the ball, they wanted to hurt us more.
“I thought we were very slow with our tempo, and more or less just keeping the ball rather than doing anything with it.

“I want us to get the ball forward faster, try to hurt teams more.
“We have to get the opposition on the back foot more.
“And then at the other end, their goal is another disappointing one to concede.
“But when you concede the first goal, and you’re chasing the game, it is difficult, when the opposition get that bit of belief in the game.”
