Manager Poole said: "Bringing a player of the calibre and potential of Brodie to the football club is a massive step in the direction we are looking to take.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to director Iain Crawford for his support and hard work in getting this over the line. We believe Brodie has the quality to be very successful at this level and beyond."

Greenwood added: “I have been speaking a lot to Jake and Lou (Lou Roberts), getting to know the club and I think it is the right place for me to come for the next chapter of my career and I am looking forward to the future.

"I play in the middle of the pitch, probably more of a defensive player, but I can play box to box too. I like to get stuck in and get on the ball and show my technique.

"I see a club that has a real buzz to it. Obviously they had a lot of success last season and everyone is excited about the challenge that is ahead. This is the best place for me to come and get stuck in.”
