Peterborough United stars pay tribute to Tommy Robson: ‘nicest man I’ve ever met, a legend, he’d light up the room, charming and charismatic, loved by all,’

Peterborough United stars of past and present were quick to pay their tributes to Tommy Robson who passed away on Thursday night (8 October).

The club broke the news of Robson’s passing at the age of 76 this evening.

A simple, yet perfect statement read: ‘The football club is devastated to announce the sad passing of Tommy Robson at the age of 76. Record appearance holder. Nicest man you will ever meet.Legend.’

And current and former Posh officials and players took to social media to express their sadness and pay tribute to one of Peterborough’s most famous and popular citizens.
