That’s the opinion of Posh boss Darren Ferguson after watching his 24 year-old forward take some rough treatment at Sunderland last weekend (September 26).

Dembele has been outstanding for Posh since his conversion from winger to forward last January.

“Siriki is a fantastic player for League One level,” Ferguson said. “And teams will be aware of the threat he poses.

“Siriki will have to deal with the attention he is bound to receive and I am sure he will.

“He looked very sharp in the first-half at Sunderland last week. He was fouled a lot, but that will happen because of the way he plays.

“He will have to learn when to dribble and when to release the ball. When he’s in the attacking third he should always run at defenders, but on halfway he needs to be more careful.

“He was exceptional in the first-half at Sunderland befor they got to grips with him.”

Posh co-owner Darragh MacAnthony reckoned Dembele was ‘near unplayable’ at the Stadium of Light.
