Some were quite famous, others had decent back stories, while some delivered infamously poor performances before leaving London Road.

HAMISH CURTIS. Apps 1. The local lad (left) only played for Posh once, but it was a Rumbelows Cup quarter-final replay at Middlesbrough when he was tasked to mark flying England winger Stuart Ripley. Ripley scored in a 1-0 Boro win, but Curtis did well. He was released at the end of the season and played locally for the rest of his career. SEBASTIEN BASSONG. Apps: 1. Spurs once paid Newcastle £8 million for this central defender's services and he also turned out for Wolves, Norwich and Watford before he turned up for a trial at Posh early last season. He was only ever fit enough to start one Checkatrade Trophy game before moving onto Greek football. Photo: Midlands

MIKE SMALL: Apps 4. A former England Youth team centre forward was signed on loan from Luton in 1982 and scored his only Posh goal in a 2-1 win over Halifax. Small went on play in Greece, but came home to play for Brighton and West Ham. He was also selected for one senior England squad in the 1991-92 season after top scoring for the Hammers. ISAAC BUCKLEY-RICKETTS. Apps 2. A winger signed from Manchester City in the summer of 2018. He came with a warning about his attitude, but his ability was also questioned and his sole start in a Checkatrade Trophy game at MK Dons was halted after 45 minutes when he was substituted with Posh 3-0 down. The game finished 3-3. His wherabouts are now unknown. Photo: atex.scriptmanager
