The 26 year-old was due to undertake a medical this morning (August 27) before signing a three-year deal.

It’s understood the initial fee is less than the £1.25m quoted elsewhere today. Clarke-Harris scored 16 goals for mid-table Rovers last season and has netted 27 times in 52 appearances (6 as sub) for the Pirates.

Posh had Clarke-Harris at London Road as a youngster in the 2012-13 season, but he failed to make a single appearance.

He subsequently joined Oldham, Rotherham and Coventry before moving to Rovers in January, 2019.

Posh are seeking a striker replacement for Ivan Toney who is expected to leave the Weston Homes Stadium soon.
