21.
NATHAN THOMPSON: Appearances: 43 (0). Goals: 2. Average rating: 7.20. The top ranking player of the season according to the PT match ratings. That’s a reward for his consistency as well as his general excellence. Superb on the ball and started many attacks whether playing centre-back or full-back by carrying the ball forward. Developed a fine understanding with Ward down the right. Too many cautions though. GRADE: A.
22.
JOE WARD: Appearances: 40 (4). Goals: 5. Average rating: 6.75. A very likeable player. Honest, hard-working, but with enough pace and quality to ensure he can play right wing or right wing-back to a high standard. He can still be too negative in possession, but he managed to bag a healthy number of assists with sliderule passes and crosses from wide areas. Good set-piece delivery, but capable of scoring more goals. GRADE: B+
