Hide AdThe expected announcement regarding the new Posh assistant manager didn’t happen though. He is believed to be sorting out a compensation package with his current employer.
Ivan Toney, who is expected to leave Posh this summer, and George Cooper, who is expected to fight for a first-team place after spending last season on loan at League Two side Plymouth, were among the players to report back for work today.
It’s expected the League One season will start on September 12, more than six months after Posh’s last competitive outing, a 2-0 win over Portsmouth at the Weston Homes Stadium on March 7.
