We issued one ‘A’ grade and five ‘B’ grades, but most have struggled to get a satisfactory rating.
We haven’t marked forwards Jack Marriott, Joel Randall and Ricky-Jade Jones as their seasons have been ruined by serious injury, although the former would definitely be in the ‘can do better’ camp judged on his few displays so far.
Manager Darren Ferguson would be another hovering between a C and a D grade, although he hasn’t been helped by the departure of coach Mark Robson.
Grading key: A=Outstanding, B=Good, C:Satisfactory, D+Can do better; E=Terrible: F=Failure.

13. C DAN BUTLER
Championship starts/goals: 19/0. The only Posh player to appear in the first 22 games of the Championship season and he would probably be an ever present if he hadn’t been kicked out of his final game against Millwall. It’s been a struggle at times for the left-sided defender, but he’s popular with the manager for his whole-hearted, aggressive performances. Might not be seen again this season though because of his injury.

14. C Plus JACK TAYLOR
Championship starts/goals: 15/1. One of a few Posh players to miss games at the start of the season because of injury and it’s taken him a while to find his feet at Championship level. There have been signs in recent games of a return to something like his best form, but he needs to improve on his goals return now he’s been given a more advanced role. His one goal this season was a gem at Hull and was proof of what he can do at this level.

15. B Minus HARRISON BURROWS
Championship starts/goals: 14/3. The 19 year-old has made a greater impact than many expected after promotion from League One last season. The teenager has played in a variety of positions, but has excelled when allowed to play in a more forward role. He is a composed finisher and his three goals this season have come in two wins (Derby & QPR) and a draw (Cardiff). His crossing quality will come to the fore when Posh find a more mobile centre-forward.

16. B DAI CORNELL
Championship starts/goals: 16/0. The goalkeeper started the season as back-up to Christy Pym, but he’s established himself in the first team with some decent performances. He’s been the surprise success story of the season for Posh given he was a substitute for League One side Ipswich Town for most of last season. Cornell is very accomplished on the ball which is an important skill for a goalkeeper these days.
