The two Peterborough United players who entered self-isolation after showing symptoms of the coronvirus have tested negative.

The entire Posh squad have now been tested and all results returned so far have been negative. The results for two players who tested later than the others are still awaited.

Posh paid £6k for testing kits from a private medical company after becoming frustrated at the lack of advice/help available to those with symptoms.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony revealed today (March 19) he wanted to test the players quickly as some elderly fans had become concerned after having social contact with the players.

The Posh squad will now stay in self-isolation until they return to training on April 3.

The resumption of Football League competition has been put back to April 30 at the earliest.
