Peterborough United pair could play at the weekend after their brush with the coronavirus

Peterborough United pair Reece Brown and Siriki Dembele are available for Saturday’s (September 19) League One game against Fleetwood Town at the Weston Homes Stadium...but they might have to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench.

Both players missed the opening day defeat at Accrington Stanley after testing positive for Covid-19. Brown completes his 10 days of self isolation on Thursday (September 17) with Dembele free to rejoin the squad on Friday.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “They could play on Saturday, but having been away from the team for so long they have to be regarded as doubtful, especially Siriki who doesn’t join us until right at the end of the week.

Idris Kanu and Bobby Copping, who havn’t tested positive for coronavirus, but who live with Dembele, have to self isolate for 14 days.
