Peterborough United open EFL Trophy campaign against Burton and travel to Cambridge United in November

Peterborough United will open their EFL Trophy campaign with a home game against League One rivals Burton Albion.

That match will probably take place on Tuesday, September 8, four days before the start of the League One season.

Posh also host Fulham Under 21s in the competition in week commencing October 5 before travelling to local rivals Cambridge United in week commencing November 9.

The top two in each group will go through to the knockout stages.
