Peterborough United Live Blog: Cheltenham Town vs Posh- will this be the final game for Sammie Szmodics?
Grant McCann takes his side to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium to face one of his former clubs. McCann joined Cheltenham in 2003 after two previous loan spells at the club from West Ham. He finished with 179 appearances and 41 goals for the Robins before moving on to Barnsley in January, 2007 for £100k.
Today is Wade Elliott’s first game in charge after taking over from Michael Duff, who left to join Barnsley also this summer.

Taylor miscontrols a high ball, Cheltenham break on the left. Kent makes the crucial tackle in the box, hosts started the better.
Free kick Cheltenham put into the box, Szmodics marking the massive Nlundulu, I’d think about changing that.
Szmodics
Szmodics is in the line-up for what could be his final game. If he is off, it’s an interesting choice to play him. Still no word from either club confirming the offer. We’ll keep an eye on how he reacts after the game, any waves goodbye.
No Poku
No Poku, we expect he has picked up an injury but will try and find out. Looks like either a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
Also worth noting, no new signings apart from the goalkeepers, where there was no choice but to play one.
Cheltenham line-up
