Peterborough United host Barnsley at the Weston Homes Stadium on Friday night (December 2, 7:45pm).

The match has been moved forward to avoid a potential clash with an England match in the World Cup, only for England to play on Sunday.

Nevertheless, Posh return to league action after two cup defeats and looks to kick-start their campaign that does still see them sitting in fourth.

Barnsley are just a point behind though and have a game in hand so victory tonight is very important.

Edwards can’t continue. Josh Benson coming on.

He’s hobbling on. On we go.

Edwards has slipped over. Looks in a bad way.

There is panic when Posh turn the wing backs and run at them. EMC does to well to go past Edwards but then slips over. Frustrating.

Corner Posh. Ward takes, unconvincing punch from Collins but he gets a soft foul.

He was moaning to the ref at the players went off. He thought he was fouled for Taylor’s chance right at the end of the first half.

Posh head clear a Tom Edwards long throw to start the half.

No change for either side.

What a chance!

Great corner from Ward, drops right onto the head of Taylor . Keeper comes off his line and is nowhere near it but Taylor loops his header over tthe bar.

Ronnie nearly puts Posh in trouble with a poor sideways pass to Kent. Posh scramble it clear, only to have to defend two more dangerous balls into the box. Impressive standards from Barnsley ball in continue.
