Peterborough United host League One strugglers Burton Albion at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (October 8).

Posh come into the match off the back of three straight wins, all of which they have scored three goals in.

Meanwhile, Burton sit 23rd in the table, with just seven points, but have looked better since Dino Maamria took after five games ago. Six of their seven points have come in that time.

Posh could see Kel Watts for the first time as he is training with the club now but McCann has said that he will not rush him.

LIVE: Posh vs Burton

Key Events

  • 3pm kick-off
  • Posh have on three consecutive games in all competitions
  • Kel Watts in contention for the first time
  • Burton have just seven points this season

Bullet header Nathan Thompson, arriving late to head a Ward corner. Over the bar though from close range.

Thompson, Jones and Poku off

Marriott, Thompson and Burrows on.

Free header from the corner at the far post. Dear me. This is poor. They are very lucky Brayford has put it wide,

Burton are still coming. Kent has to deflect a Adeboyejo shot wide. Corner.

Moments before, Smith has driven in a free-kick. Adeboyejo flicked it at goal and Bergstrom had to claw it off the line. He did well but had no chance there. Posh have let themselves down with their finishing.

Posh punished. Taylor puts in a cross, Hughes nods it across the box and Adeboyejo outmuscles Kent and smashes home from close range.

CHANCE 74 mins 1-0 Posh

Poku picks the pocket of Hamer, who is completely asleep on the edge of his own box. Takes the ball off him and finds Thompson in the box, hits his shot very straight though, it goes wide of the post. Never got in the right body position only around 6 yards out.

Ward getting forward more this half. He’s so wasted at right back. Stuff happens when he gets it. Crosses to JCH, he takes a poor touch but luckily, Jones is there to run on and shoot from the edge of the box. Shot deflected not far over.

Burton throw-in goes all the way through to Bergstrom. Knight flattens Sam Hughes to make sure it does so.

All about staying switched on because Burton have offered nothing this half.

Posh haven’t really found an extra gear since the goal but Burton look to have gone into their shells. The lack of penetration still appears to be a problem. Posh having lots of a ball but aren’t creating lots of chances.
