Peterborough United host Chelsea Under 21s in the Papa John’s Trophy at the Weston Homes Stadium (November 22, 7:30pm).

A welcome break from the league and from the long trips on the road.

Victory will move Posh one step closer to a potential Wembley date.

Jack Taylor and Jonson Clarke-Harris should be fully recovered from bouts of illness but Grant McCann must choose whether to select them or not.

LIVE: Posh vs Chelsea U21s

Good Chelsea break, Hutchinson breaks past Mensah on the right, cuts it back to Casadei who looks to work a shooting chance just inside the box but can only poke wide.

Posh break out of the pressure and win a corner on the right. It’s a good ball in again and Watts is there in the centre of the goal. Gets under the ball through and heads over when he should do much better.

Chelsea are starting to get on top now. Posh on the backfoot and Ben Thompson has to make a diving challenge in the box to stop a mazy run from Elliott just as he was looking to shoot.

Dear me, poor moment for Posh there. Watts chests down an awkward ball but it rather bounces off him and Kyprianou is sleeping as Hutchinson nips it on the edge of the box to claim it. Kyprianou has to slide in from behind to cut out the ball, just about gets away with it.

Posh seeing a lot of the ball, Chelsea are really trying to play when they get it. A few misplaced passes so far though.

Burrows puts it on the head of JCH but the defender but Brooking gets a blocking header on it.

Front-foot start though, Jones now wins a corner.

Still looks like a 4-3-3 for Posh as Jones balloons a cross into orbit.
