Peterborough United fans remain split on the decision to keep home support in the London Road End

The results of a fan-led consultation are in….and the London Road End will once again house home supporters next season.

The possibility of moving the main home fans’ area to the GH Display Stand became a hot topic towards the end of last season which persuaded Posh to canvass the views of supporters.

Posh issued a statement announcing the results on Monday. That statement is here

The reaction to that statement is below. The views below are split roughly 55-45% in favour of the club’s stance. All views are taken from social media platform X...

A well written statement IMO, manages expectations re Leicester, Sheffield Weds etc, just don’t let Cambridge have it again! – @JustinDB1974

Makes the most commercial sense and allows the club maximum flexibility on a game-by-game basis. If home supporters are allowed to switch tickets when the GH Display is open then I really can't see any issues – @Lukewcliff

It’s basically confirming we want as many away fans to visit as possible because we know our attendances will be low next season. I’d say it shows a lack of investment in new players is also on the cards – @ChrisCook007

Not really a comprehensive fan led consultation. I agree the voice of the London Road season ticket holders needed to be heard, but there was no way for any other fans to give an opinion. Club excluded a lot of fans from this ‘comprehensive’ consultation – @louiseLunaPosh

Just a shame fans voices haven’t been listened to regarding the badge – @Juppy95

The right decision in my opinion. Now will you please listen to fans about the awful new badge – @AndyCricket100

Seems a bizarre decision, so home supporters had the chance to have the modern GH Display stand for home games, but they have decided to remain in the run down London Road End. That doesn't make any sense – @Mark9697

Good. Now scrap the new badge! – @NickDeary

Can we get a fan led consultation on putting the safe standing in the bin? – @PboroScot25434

No matter how many surveys they do, London Road will always be the home end for many decades of supporters, myself included – @davy1947david

Be nice if you listened to us over the shambles of a badge as well – @FootballBPO

Great news, guess you felt the need to review this, but it should never have been on the agenda! However now give it the investment it needs be bring it up to scratch – @davidwh1971

Why not have both and have the right side of main stand as the away end? – @Lewis_170354

Surely the best compromise is give half the GH Display to home fans. The other half can either be used as an overflow for large away followings or can be opened up to home fans if the demand is there. I’ve never known a club have their newest stand closed for most fixtures – @JackLenton7

A big thumbs up from me – @CraigIsted

We sit in the GH display stand end of the Family stand, so understandably hear more noise from that end when its full. The best decision would be to have both ends open to home fans all the time, but we know financially that doesn't make sense – @romysdad

The club is stuck in the 1900s. I wouldn’t even let my dog poo in the London Road End toilets – @JayAnthony_05

We’re silent in either end so there’s no difference bar facilities and i know which stand i’d rather be in – @HarrisonMann9

Not exactly a fan-led consultation when the only people you consulted were a very select group of people from the fan base – @andyewen85

Definitely the best decision. Can we now take part in a survey to discard the new badge? – @SandysBitxh_

Good news indeed, and very positive that the voice of the supporters is being heard at the Western Homes Stadium – @rodneysadd

What a shock! Would love to see the data on this survey. Club takes one step forward, two steps back – @dalerout
