But the 24 year-old, who was making his first appearance since Boxing Day, insists Posh are ready for what promises to be a bruising and brilliant end to the campaign.

Posh are seventh in League One, but only six points off top spot (before today’s Coventry v Sunderland clash) with 10 matches to go.

They have a promotion six-pointer against Portsmouth at the Weston Homes Stadium next Saturday (March 7) when a win would take Posh above third-placed Pompey on goal difference.

League One’s top scorer Ivan Toney can return in that game. His stand-in Mo Eisa bagged his 16th goal of the season at Burton.

“Everyone will drop points in the last 10 games or so,” Blake-Tracy, who played as the left-sided centre-back rather than at full-back, said. “It’s so close, but we are still confident we can be successful.

“We didn’t get the result we wanted against Burton which was disappointing especially after taking the lead. They hadn’t given us any problems at the back until they scored.

“We probably lacked a bit of quality in the final third, but it was a difficult playing surface.

“We’ll take the draw and move on. Every point is massive at this stage of the season. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but we have a big game next week and Ivan can play in that one.

“He’s obviously a huge player for us. He can pretty much do everything and he would have been useful against Burton as we could have played a bit longer to him and got up the pitch quicker.

“I was delighted for Mo though. I get on really well with him. Hopefully he will kick on again now.

“I was delighted to be back. I had two injuries in two months which was a nightmare. I hope I can do a job anywhere at that back so I was happy to play as a more central defender. I have a good relationship with Dan Butler and I felt comfortable all game.”

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “Frazer played well. I wanted a left-footed player in the back three as it’s easier for them to step out with the ball and Frazer let no-one down. He was one of our better players.”
