And Posh immediately set a Football League record that still stands by scoring 134 goals on their way to winning the Fourth Division title at the first attempt.

It’s a select club of two players who can boast of scoring 100 Football League goals for Posh. Jim Hall (pictured) is the club’s all-time top scorer with 122 goals followed by Tommy Robson with 111.

Between his Posh debut in a 3-1 League Two defeat at Darlington on January 13, 2007 and a 3-1 Championship win over Ipswich on February 16, 2010, George Boyd (pictured) appeared in an astonishing 144 Football League matches, spread over three different divisions, in a row.
