Peterborough United chief isn’t panicking, but he expects a big improvement against Plymouth Argyle

Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony isn’t panicking after two poor performances and back-to-back defeats, but he is expecting a big improvement when his team tackle Plymouth Argyle in a League One fixture at the Weston Homes Stadium tomorrow (November 24, 7pm kick-off).

Posh have followed their 2-0 dedeat at Crewe with a a 2-1 defeat at home to Blackpool on Saturday - a first loss at the Weston Homes Stadium in 2020.

“You will lose football games when you don’t show up,” MacAnthony admitted. “We were poor, well done to Blackpool, but I’m getting sick of crediting the opposition.

“We’ve still been on a fantastic run, and that doesn’t change because of two bad games. It is what it is and there’s no need for panic, but it’s a squad game and time for the players who have been waiting for their chance to step up.

“We need to go on another winning run. Six or seven games in a row again would be nice.”
