Peterborough United chairman confirms cash will be splashed on transfers during the current window
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed cash will be splashed on new signings in the current transfer window.
MacAnthony has been on social media site X in the last 48 hours to talk about potential incomings following the weekend sale of winger Kyrell Lisbie to Championship side Millwall for a reported £3 million.

MacAnthony said: “Trust me, I’m working hard on all fronts to get it spot on in all positions we need filling squad-wise.
"Debt is under £12 million now from £18 million as we have been chipping away at it over last couple seasons, and yes we will, as always, be spending this window like previous ones, before any fans pop up screaming about us selling players.”
MacAnthony and director of football Barry Fry have been praised by Posh boss Luke Williams for their ‘relentless’ work in the transfer window this summer.
Five new players have arrived this summer, back-up goalkeeper Collin Andeng Ndi, defenders Evan Weir and Tom O’Connor, midfielder Harrison Jones and winger Owura Edwards.
But Lisbie is the latest key player to leave London Road after Archie Collins, Tom Lees and Jimmy-Jay Morgan. Posh could be targeting a defensive midfielder, a pair of wingers, a centra-back and an attacking player.
Posh have been linked again with Salford City forward Kelly N'Mai. Sixteen months ago Posh were rumoured to be chasing the now 22 year-old Dutch attacker, but nothing developed.
N’Mai does fit the club profile in terms of age and style of play, and new wingers are again a priority now Lisbie has departed, but Posh have given no indication they are interested in a player who scored eight goals in 33 appearances last season.
