Peterborough United boss insists his side could be 10 points clear at the top and he still wouldn’t vote for points-per-game to settle a season

Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony insists his club would never vote to use points-per-game (PPG) to determine final Football League positions.

The spectre of an artificial end to the season for the second successive campaign has appeared in recent weeks after numerous EFL games were postponed because of positive Covid tests.

But MacAnthony said: “My club will never vote to use points-per-game. We could be 10 points clear at the top and that would be the case because I have integrity.

“There’s enough time to finish this season anyway. We could easily extend it.”

Posh were denied a place in the League One play-offs last season after PPG was applied.
