New club linked with Peterborough United target Kyreece Lisbie as Posh reportedly out of the race
According to reports, several new clubs have joined the race to sign Kyreece Lisbie from Colchester United.
Posh have been heavily linked with the 22-year-old winger- who is the twin brother of Kyrell Lisbie- since January.

Previous reports claimed that Posh were vying with divisional rivals Reading for his signature this summer.
A bid from Reading- believed to be in the region of £500k and £750k- was accepted but Colchester ultimately pulled out of the deal on Deadline Day stating that they had decided not to sell.
The asking price is still believed to be in that region but a fresh report from the Reading Chronicle claims that both clubs have now been overtaken in the race for Lisbie's signature with Oxford United and another unnamed League One club and have made improved bids.
The report also claims that a ‘source close to the player’ has told the paper that an unnamed Championship club is still monitoring the situation.
Kyreece Lisbie was named Colchester’s Young Player of the Season last week after recording 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions, in 51 games, in his first full season of senior football.
He signed for Colchester from Brentford B in February 2025 and also passed through Watford and Leyton Orient’s academies in his youth career.
Both Lisbie twins got their first break in senior football with Isthmian League side Cray Valley Paper Mills after Orient released them for being ‘too injury prone.’
Lisbie has been a semi-regular fixture at Posh matches this season and has often been spotted in the Main Stand supporting his brother when Colchester did not have a game on the same day.
Colchester were the subject of a takeover from a consortium including John Terry but the deal is now off.
