But I’ve had a go anyway and selected an XI in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
I’ve made a big call up top.
9. HARRISON BURROWS
The quickest, most athletic players will all need to be on the pitch. Burrows can help Butler deal with Wilson and hopefully he will be able to get forward enough to deliver quality crosses.
10. SIRIKI DEMBELE
Let Dembele run free and if he can avoid the tactical fouling there could be space against attack-minded opponents which he can use to hurt them. I'd be encouraging him to be more direct with his running.
11. SAMMIE SZMODICS
I'd have played Jonson Clarke-Harris against the less mobile, less athletic Huddersfield team, but I fear this game wouldn't suit him so I've left him out. Posh have to at least try and press Fulham and Szmodics and Dembele are more likely to manage that than Clarke-Harris.
12. THE SUBSTITUTES
Obviously Clarke-Harris is on my bench and I wouldn't be averse to an early change if Posh are struggling to get out because of the lack of a target man. Jorge Grant is now with him as I couldn't see him getting on the ball much in this match. Conor Coventry, Joe Ward, Josh Knight and Kwame Poku are also subs along with rookie goalkeeper Will Blackmore. Poku did okay in a brief cameo against Huddersfield and Knight can cover the back four.
