Peterborough United are searching for a vital Championship win at home to Stoke City (March 12, 3pm).

They will have to do it without goalkeeper Steven Benda though, who has been ruled out for at least the next three games. The return of Jack Taylor does provide a boost to Posh’s cause though.

Stoke, meanwhile, have not won in any of their last seven games in all competitions and seem to have dropped Posh hero Josef Bursik from their line-up.

LIVE: Posh vs Stoke

Key Events

  • 3pm kick-off
  • Steven Benda remains injured
  • Posh have not scored in their last 4 home league games
  • Stoke have not won any of their last 7 matches
  • Josef Bursik and James Chester could feature

Even Steven Fletcher is outpacing this Posh backline. Gets in behind Edwards to chase a Brown through ball. Just over hit though but this is really poor stuff from Posh. Offering nothing.

Lively turn and shot from Baker 35 yards out. Fires a bouncing ball just over after Norburn had spooned a ball onto the head of Kent to head away. Not sure the defender wanted that kind of pass.

Fuchs is the most advanced Posh midfielder. He’s pushing high but at the end of the day, attacking midfield is not his position so it is still a negative selection, no matter how high you tell him to push.

Posh finally have a good opening. Ward takes a throw from the right, throws it into Fuchs in a dangerous position on the edge of the box but he miscontrols it and it goes out of play.

The corner comes in along the ground too, JCH is alive to it though and gets into the space to hoof clear.

Posh have a free-kick on the left around 30 yards out. Burrows puts in a poor ball, gets it back and puts a second poor one in and Stoke break through Tymon. He fires a low ball into the box that Edwards has to put put of play for a corner.

Posh have been terrible on the ball so far. Even when they do win the ball, it’s being given away cheaply.

Worrying signs this will turn into a match like Hull. Stoke pinning Posh back and picking up every loose ball. Posh struggling to get out.

Soon after Tymon swings a ball into the box. Brown climbs above Knight but heads well wide.

Duhaney hits the post for Stoke. Finds space in the area and tries a stab across goal, that Cornell has to jump up and save. Looks as if he just got a fingertip to deflect it onto the post.
