Peterborough United host Hull City in a battle between sides who both won promotion to the Championship last season (February 26, 3pm).

Hull did so with Grant McCann and looked well set to remain in the division under his leadership.

That was until a change of ownership and it was decided that he would be replaced by Shota Arveladze.

He has his chance to take his revenge today as Hull are the opponents for his first game back in charge of Posh.

Follow the action on the PT live log below.

Key Events

  • Posh could complete a league double
  • The sides came up together but Hull are 13 points better off (20th)
  • Hull have won 1 in 7 under Shota Arveladze

Looks like two like-for-like changes.

Posh subs 60 mins 0-2

Coulson on for Burrows

Jones and for Marriott

There’s been no press from Posh all day and that still isn’t the case at 2-0 down.

Rubbish pass from Edwards across his goal gets cut out by KLP, he slides it across to Smallwood just inside the box but he shanks his shot well wide.

All Hull this half. They never let Posh out after that free-kick and eventually Ward is the latest one to fail to clear and KLP smashes into the bottom left corner from about 25 yards, great strike to be fair.

50 mins GOAL 2-0 HULL

Looks like Szmodics who flicks the ball in over everyone. Posh can’t get out though and Lewis-Potter smashes it into the corner 2-0.

Looks like Posh have come out in the same system. Hull get a free-kick on the left of the box. Clumsy Norburn challenge on Smith from behind.

Honeyman is replaced by Liam Walsh. He took a couple of big knocks that half.

Posh waste a corner by playing it short as the last act of the half.
