Peterborough United travel to face league leaders Fulham on Wednesday evening (February 23, 7:45pm).

Posh have now slipped to eight points from safety thanks to Reading’s victory over Birmingham on Tuesday (February 22) but face a tall order to make back any ground tonight.

Fulham are six points clear at the top and have scored 79 times in their 31 league games this season. They were beaten at home to Huddersfield last time out though.

Free-kick Fulham on the edge of the box. Grant trips Kebano who gets up and takes it. Wall does its job though.

Shot on target Posh! They spring the break and it’s Knight that pops up all the way on the right and feeds Brown. He cuts into the middle and rives a long-range shot low at goal. Comfortably saved Rodak.

Shot from range for Seri. Benda has to quickly back peddle to stop it lobbing him and going into the net after the shot was deflected.

Fulham’s centre backs are playing midway into the Posh half. Incredibly high line. JCH dropping back and playing in holding midfield. Yet still all the time in the world for the the wide men to get their crosses in.

First time I’ve ever seen a ref tell a throw in taker to go further forward. It was Burrows he was moving. Even the ref wants Posh to go forward.

Another ball put onto the head on Mitrovic from the right. Straight at Benda.

This weird hesitant right back tactic exposed then when Kebano pulls into the space out there. Knight yells at Ward to drop in but it’s too late and the cross comes in. It’s a good one onto the head of Mitrovic, who heads wide. Knight then apologises to Ward. All very odd.

I say Knight is the furthest to the right because he is not taking up a right back space but just a centre back more near the right than anything else. Kebano has a lot of space. Grant and all the midfield dropping vert deep. No press.

Ward not really playing right back, looks like Knight if there, with Burrows at LB and Ward RM. Mostly long balls for both sides so far.
