Posh have no reason to fear

hampionship referee Keith Stroud is the whistle-blower at the Valley tomorrow. He’s issued 88 yellow cards and two red ones in 33 outings this season.

Stroud hasn’t taken charge of a Posh match since a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Bradford City in September, 2017 when he sent of Anthony Grant and City’s Adam Chicksen. He’s also sent off Posh men Lee Tomlin, Dean Holden and Mark Little in the past.

Charlton’s top scorer is Chuks Aneke with 13, he is well-known by Posh fans for his time and goals for MK.

Ex-Posh striker Conor Washington is expected to return to the side today after four games on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Although, Perhaps the star is target man Jayden Stockley. who has impressed since joining Charlton on loan from Preston in January.

His return of six goals in 17 appearances is modest, but he’s proved to be a real handful for League One defences.

Home not so sweet home.

A surprising stat from 6th place Charlton are the fact they have such a poor home record.

Of their 66 points only 24 have come at The Valley. They have an extremely modest home record of P19 W6 D6 L7.

Only Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury, Burton, Rochdale and Wigan have taken fewer points at home.

Certainly reason to be optimistic for Posh, who have a modest away record themselves.

Charlton are the form side on League One right now, they top that table over the last six and eight matches.

They have won six and drawn four of their last 10 League One games, including a 6-0 win on Tuesday night away at Plymouth, with six different goalscorers.

Over the same period Posh have gained 18 points, having W5 D3 L2.
