Posh were beaten 1-0 in the final group game at the JobServe Community Stadium but still went through as group winners.
There were two young players making that impressed but the rest flattered to deceive, raising questions about Posh’s back-up options.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Awful
5. JAMES DORNELLY
Thrust himself into the spotlight along with Mills. Defended very well and supported the attacks too. Showed a great temperament, just as Ferguson predicted before kick-off. 8. Photo: Joe Dent
6. RYAN DE HAVILLAND
Didn't make much of an impression on a game Posh fans were looking to finally see something from him in. Gave the ball away too often. 6. Photo: Joe Dent
7. JEANDO FUCHS
Did exactly what you would expect of him in a 45 minute cameo on return from injury. Won the ball back well on multiple occasions with some trademark full-blooded tackles. 7. Photo: Joe Dent
8. ZAK STURGE
Fighting for his Posh future you suspect. Started in a more advanced role in the wing but failed to dominate, played a couple of decent balls into the box but nothing of note came off for him. 5. Photo: Joe Dent
