The PT has picked what we believe is the optimal starting XI and substitutes, assuming everyone is fit, which admittedly is a huge assumption.
We don’t believe two up top with work with the current set of players, nor would a system involving three central defenders and a pair of wing-backs,so we either play 4-3-3 or stick with the 4-2-1-3 formation.
It’s 4-3-3 for us, but let us know what you think.

1. ALEX BASS
We're sticking with Bass in goal for now, but we'd give Collin Andeng Ndi the next two cup games because we need to see what he can do. Photo: David Lowndes

2. CARL JOHNSTON
The captain is way ahead of James Dornelly for the right-back slot despite a disappointing effort against Luton at the weekend. He won't come up against any other players with the power and skill of Kasey Palmer in many other League One matches. Photo: Joe Dent

3. HARLEY MILLS
Another full-back who is far superior to his main rival for the role, in this case Evan Weir. Photo: s

4. SAM HUGHES
All of a sudden Posh have a surfeit of capable central defenders. It would be daft to take one 30-minute performance, as good as it was, from Hughes as proof that his injury issues are behind him, but he did show what Posh have been missing. He's commanding, he's physical and he is also a set-piece in the opposition penalty area. Photo: David Lowndes
