The temptation must be to go strong in tomorrow’s last-16 Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie against Crawley Town (7.30pm), but I’d still have an eye on the much bigger prize of promotion from League One.
I’d keep just four of the team that started Saturday’s 2-1 win over Shrewsbury.
Top forward Kwame Poku is injured as is young right-back James Dornelly, while summer striker signing Jacob Wakeling is cup-tied.
Ricky-Jade Jones must be doubtful after limping out of Saturday’s 2-1 League One win over Shrewsbury Town.
Here’s my team in a 3-4-1-2 formation...

5. DAVID AJIBOYE
Ajiboye has the tools to be an affective right wing-back. He is quick, has good stamina and fitness, and he's tactically aware. He should be a serious attacking threat coming from deep. Photo: Joe Dent

6. HARRISON BURROWS
A risky selection as the club captain has played more minutes than any other Posh player this season, but he's young, fit and usually full of energy. Posh really do need to find a back-up for him though. He's left wing-back for this game, a position that should suit him. Photo: Joe Dent

7. JEANDO FUCHS
It's been a surprise to me to see this combative midfielder stay unused on the substitutes' bench when Posh have been desperately trying to see games out. He should get 90 minutes against Crawley and he needs to use them well to have any chance of making a League One contribution this season. Photo: Joe Dent

8. HECTOR KYPRIANOU
It's 45 minutes apiece for midfield stars Kyprianou and Collins for me as it was for the last-round Trophy win over Arsenal. Photo: Joe Dent
