I’ve rated all the players who made 10 or more Championship appearances for their performances over the season. There are 22 players who qualified.
Some ratings were rescued by a strong finish to the season.
Ratings key: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4 Very poor.

9. SAMMIE SZMODICS
Championship appearances 36 (26 starts, 6 goals). Came alive after a change of manager, but he'd found the level too tough before then and rarely contributed in front of goal. He only scored in one game before Grant McCann's arrival. There was never doubting his energy and commitment, even after Posh declined the chance to let him leave for Oxford in the January transfer window. Another to finish the season strongly. 6/10. 10. DAI CORNELL
Championship appearances 30 (all starts): The goalkeeper was a step-up on Christy Pym, but lost his place when Steven Benda arrived on loan. He might not have played again if Benda hadn't broken his finger. Posh can probably do, and need, better, but the Welshman didn't really let the side down. He made some decent saves without being outstanding, apart from at Barnsley. 6/10. Photo: Joe Dent

11. JACK MARRIOTT
Championship appearances 28 (16 starts, 9 goals). A fully-fit Marriott playing 46 games could well have kept Posh up as he remains a lethal finisher as his goals-to-minutes played would show. But fitness has been a regular problem in recent seasons and a horrible hamstring injury stopped his campaign in its tracks for four months. Doesn't offer a great deal in open play, but quick enough to press effectively. 6/10. Photo: Joe Dent

12. RICKY-JADE JONES
Championship appearances 18 (6 starts). The teenage striker did better than I expected at such a tough level, especially after suffering a serious injury in the first week of the season. He's filled out physically, although he did break down more than once, and he remains rapid, but he also showed skill and delivered some excellent left-wing crosses even though that's his weaker side. Didn't manage to score, but there is great potential there 6.5/10. Photo: Joe Dent
