Club officials will no doubt be scouring the list of retained and released players from Championship and League One sides to see if anyone takes their fancy.
Posh need a goalkeeper, a couple of full-backs and a pair of central midfielders so the Peterborough Telegraph went searching on their behalf. We also threw in a couple of centre-backs in case Ronnie Edwards departs and a striker given the current forward line’s regular injury woes.
9. CALLUM CAMPS
This attacking midfielder once chose Fleetwood over Posh, but surely he's realised that was a mistake after a season-long fight against relegation has been followed by a discharge from the Cod Army. He's only 26, although he has been linked to a reunion with his old Fleetwood boss Joey Barton at Bristol Rovers. Photo: Lewis Storey
10. MALLIK WILKS
The attacking winger's immediate future has still not been sorted out at Hull City, but it's unlikely they will take up an option of keeping him for another year. There are a few Championship clubs sniffing around, but Wilks has played well under Posh boss Grant McCann at Hull and at Doncaster so you never know. Photo: Jacques Feeney
11. CONOR WASHINGTON
The former Posh striker remained sharp enough to score 13 goals for a struggling Charlton side last season, but he's now been released by the Addicks at the age of 30. Photo: Andrew Redington
