Darren Ferguson’s phenomenal record as a manager against Portsmouth

The two sides clash at Fratton Park in an important League One match tomorrow (December 5, 3pm) when Ferguson hopes to extend a record of seven wins, two draws and one defeat in 10 Football League matches against Pompey. Ferguson is unbeaten as a manager in Football League games at Portsmouth.

Ferguson’s Preston team beat Portsmouth 1-0 at Deepdale in 2010, Ferguson’s Doncaster Rovers side won three and drew the other game in four meetings with the south coast club.

Ferguson suffered his only defeat when managing Posh in a 2012 Championship fixture won 3-0 by Pompey at London Road. In four other meetings with Ferguson at the helm Posh have won three and drawn one.

Last season Posh won 2-0 at home after drawing 2-2 away.

Posh have won four and lost three of their 10 Football League fixtures at Fratton Park.
