CONFIRMED: Wanya Marçal has left Peterborough United and started a trial at Cambridge United
As per a Peterborough Telegraph story on Monday night Wanya Marçal has ended his trial at Peterborough United and started a new one at Cambridge United.
Winger Marçal had appeared in the last four Peterborough United pre-season friendlies as a trialist and first-team manager Luke Williams didn’t rule out offering the winger a contract after the weekend defeat at the hands of West Bromwich Albion. It’s unclear yet whether Marçal was offered a contract and turned it down, or Posh decided against taking him on. Posh are trying to find new wingers following the big-money sale of Kyrell Lisbie and the departures of fringe players Cian Hayes and Abraham Odoh.

But the 23 year-old was spotted by Cambridge fans who attended an open training session on Monday morning. He has now been named in a Cambridge team to tackle Norwich City in a Tuesday friendly.
Marçal, a former Posh Academy student, was released by Leicester City after a dozen years at the club during which he made 10 first-team appearances.
