Burton Albion vs Peterborough United: Posh need to respond after Cheltenham disappointment

Posh spring a lovely counter, EMC out wide, plays a sumptuous diagonal ball along the floor right across to Ward. He runs onto it and shoots, it;s a good save from the keeper but Ward is able to stop it going off for a corner and play it to Burrows in the middle for another tap-in.

A bit end to end now as both sides carrying a threat.

Burrows seees a shot blocked by a crowd of bodies, just before Norris has to come out well to smoother an Ahmade poke at goal after he outmuscled Kent.

To be fair, Ahmade looks about 7 foot.

Posh try and hit straight back, EMC floats into space and shoots from a tight angle, blocked by MacGillvray.

Free kick around 35 yards out, Helm touches it off to Taylor who just runs on to it and smashes right into the bottom left corner, with thte power and aim, Norris is helpless.

Played to the backpost, Brayfrod gets above everyone but Norris holds well.

Burton back on top, corner, good sliding block Burrows from a cross.

Unbelievable. Posh nearly give a goal straight back. Norris comes out to the edge of his box well to but out a long ball. He lays it off well to Ogbeta, who inexplicably turns backwards and plays a pass backwards to Edwards, excpet he gives it right to Burton’s Taylor, Norris ends up having to close down an open goal for Gilligan.

It then bounces back off Ahadme for a goal kick.

Clinical.

It’s a good move that starts with Ogbeta playing a diagonal ball to Burrows, he spots Ward on the right, feeds him nicely for the winger to run onto it and play a first time cross. The defender makes a sliding block but it only stops dead for EMC to tap into an empty net from a yard.
