Boss says Plymouth Argyle delivered their best performance of the season in victory at Peterborough United
Plymouth Argyle’s 1-0 win at Peterborough United on Saturday was their best performance of the season, according to manager Tom Cleverley
The single goal win, courtesy of a mistake from Posh defender Tom O’Connor, did not do the visitors justice as they peppered the home goal with 22 shots. Posh managed just two on target in response.

The win lifted Plymouth up two places to 14th and within two points of 12th-placed Posh. Remarkably Posh remained just four points from the play-off places. Plymouth have now won six of their last seven away games in League One.
Cleverley told the Plymouth Herald: “I'm delighted with the result and probably more so with the performance. From the first whistle to the last, in possession out of possession, the game plan was delivered perfectly.
"The quality within that was individually on show and if there is anything to aim at my players it should have been three or four nil.
"It's the best performance of the season. There is no doubt about that. We managed moments, we created chances and we limited their chances.
"I put a little bit on the game as a character test. It was a good marker for where we are at. Since the start of December we were fourth in the form table, and Peterborough were first.
"I was excited about the game and the guys absolutely came up with the goods so that's the standard we have set now. I can't expect to be at that maximum like we were today every week, but we can't fall too far under that. We have set a good marker down.
"Performances like that get you consistent wins. We win 10 games out of 10 playing like that.”
