I would change formation to a 4-2-3-1 for tonight’s Championship fixture at Reading (September 14, 8pm) and try and exploit the worst defence in the Championship with pace and trickery!
9. SAMMIE SZMODICS
I can see Szmodics bursting into life soon. He just needs to see more of the ball. Despite a hammering on Saturday, Posh looked okay when they had possession in the opposition half.
10. SIRIKI DEMBELE
It's a big wide pitch at Reading and if Posh feed Dembele in my left-sided attacking position he could wreak havoc against a suspect defence and a rookie goalkeeper. He's looked sharp in patches this season. His time to shine is now.
11. JACK MARRIOTT
It wouldn't be the biggest surprise if Posh fielded Marriott and Clarke-Harris tonight, but I'm sticking with one out and out forward and keeping faith with a man who looked the liveliest he had all season at Bramall Lane. He took his goal expertly, although his miss at the start of the second half was disappointing. Movement up front could be the key tonight, although I'd be equally happy to use the power of Clarke-Harris with three nippy players around him.
12. THE SUBSTITUTES
Clarke-Harris (pictured) on the bench then with Harrison Burrows, Ollie Norburn and Josh Knight stepping down from Saturday's starting line-up to join him. Burrows and Norburn can count themselves a little unlucky. Joe Tomlinson to cover for the full-backs and Joel Randall to be ready to come on for the final quarter when Posh are playing on the break while protecting a two-goal lead!
