Peterborough Northern Star Reserves register a first win of the Cambs Womens League season, Posh romp to top spot and ICA Sports lose their perfect winning record

Peterborough Northern Star Reserves claimed their first win of the season in the Cambs Womens Premier League on Sunday (April 11).

Star, who fielded a mix of first-team players, reserves and under 18s ran out comfortable 6-1 winners over Whittlesey Athletic in freezing and snowy conditions at the Branch Bros Stadium.

Jess Driscoll and Katie Steward scored twice with Evie Driscoll-King and Katie Henry also on target.

Netherton United moved up to third after a late Emily Johnson goal secured a 1-0 win at Cambridge City.

ICA Sports lost their 100 per cent winning record at Cambs Under 18 Girls level. They were held to a 2-2 draw by unbeaten Cambourne with Chelsea Burr and Georgia Spencer scoring for the city side.

Peterborough United are top of the Under 16 A Division after a 10-0 romp over Leverington. Claudia Harlow claimed a hat-trick.

Libby Willis scored seven as Peterborough Northern Star won 9-0 against March Town in Under 16 Division B.

Star are third, but have won all three of their league games.
