Rankin’s promotion from reserve team boss at the club caps a stormy week for the United Counties Premier Division club which led to the departure of previous manager Scott Goodwin after an acrimonious fall-out with Star co-owner Scott Steward.

A club statement, signed off by Steward today (August 14), read: ‘Peterborough Northern Star Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Dwayne Rankin as our new first team manager.
