Peterborough Sports manager Jimmy Dean is demanding his side transfer their FA Cup form to the nitty gritty of the Evo Stik Southern League tonight (October 9).

The city side, fresh from a club record crowd 404 at the Bee Arena and a live appearance on the BBC as they bowed out of the FA Cup at the hands of Chorley on Saturday, are back in Division One Central action this evening when they travel to Barton Rovers.

Unbeaten Sports are fourth in the table having fallen behind in their fixtures due to cup commitments, but a win tonight against mid-table opponents could move them up to second.

“The lads showed their class in the FA Cup,” Deanthused. “Now they need to show they can knuckle down and deliver in the league again.

“We wanted to keep going in the FA Cup, but doing well in the league has always been the priority.”

Sports are in FA Trophy action against Cambridge City at the Bee Arena on Saturday (October 13).

In form March Town host Linton Granta in the Cambs Invisitaion Cup tonight when Wisbech St Mary travel to Histon in the same competition.
