It was the first dropped points of the season for the villagers who now head Netherton by virtue of having scored one more goal.

Netherton have another big game this Saturday (October 24) when Peterborough North End Sports visit the Grange. Sports beat Leverington 3-1 this weekend thanks to a hat-trick from former Netherton player Adam Scott to make it four wins on the spin.

There seems certain to be a strong out of town challenge for the title this season as both FC Parson Drove and Moulton Harrox have started well.

Drove conceded an early goal to Ash Baldwin at Cardea before running out 5-2 winners, while Harrox pipped Eye United 2-1 with goals from Ash Coddington and Billy King. Harrox now have the only 100 per cent winning record in the top flight.

Rob Ames scored four as ICA Sports became the latest team to demolish whipping boys Oakham United. It finished 8-0 with debutant Gavin Cooke also on the scoresheet following his move from March Town.

Stamford Lions picked uip their first point of the season after holding unbeaten Holbeach United Reserves to a 2-2 draw. Richard Moore and Kuda Burutsa scored for the Lions.

Crowland Town’s fine start to the season continued with a 4-2 win over Ketton. Danny Firth scored twice.
