In-form Stamford AFC receive another signing boost, FC Peterborough chase a sixth straight win
In-form Stamford AFC have improved their attacking options ahead of a Southern Premier Division Central home game against Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday.
‘The Daniels’ have won their last three matches to cut the gap to safety from 11 points to three points. Bromsgrove are seven points clear of Stamford, but have played two more games so it’s another big game at the Zeeco Stadium (3pm kick off).
And the hosts have been bolstered by the return to the club of Boston United striker Luca Alonzi on loan until the end of the season. Alconzi joins Jake Duffy and Leon Lobjoit, two players in great scoring form, in the Stamford squad.
Spalding United’s title hopes took a knock last weekend with a shock home defeat at the hands of Banbury United. ‘The Tulips’ are back at home against mid-table Bishop’s Stortford tomorrow.
A win tomorrow at home to Rugby Borough could lift Bourne Town out of the Northern Premier Midlands Division drop zone, while Deeping Rangers and Blackstones could do with a positive result away from home at Gresley and Newark & Sherwood respectively to stay out of trouble.
FC Peterborough are chasing a sixth straight win in Division One North of the Thurlow Nunn League when hosting Dussindale and Hellesdon at the Millfield Autoparts Stadium (3pm)
