Stamford AFC and Spalding United have been handed home ties in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The Daniels will host the winners of Tuesday’s game between Anstey Nomads and Sutton Coldfield Town, while Spalding United will entertain Alvechurch. The ties will place on Saturday, October 5.

The FA Vase first round proper draw has not been so kind to local clubs with only Holbeach United receiving a home tie against Droitwich Spa. Bourne Town will visit Long Buckby, March Town will go to Coggeshall and Yaxley will travel to Foley Meir, all on Saturday, October 19.

Stamford and Spalding have key Southern Premier Division Central matches on Tuesday. Leaders Stamford visit fourth-placed Kettering Town, while Spalding host Lowestoft in a basement battle (7.45pm kick offs). Lowestoft have former Peterborough United youngsters Flynn Clarke and Gabe Overton in their squad.

Bourne have a United Counties Premier Division North game at Boston Town on Tuesday.
