That means the end of the road for Southern League and Northern Premier League sides Peterborough Sports, Yaxley, Stamford AFC, Spalding United and Wisbech Town, as well as United Counties League sides Deeping Rangers, Holbeach United, Peterborough Northern Star, Pinchbeck United Blackstones, Whittlesey Athletic and Bourne Town.

Sports and Stamford AFC fancied their chances of promotion, but Northern Star and Pinchbeck were battling against relegation.

The Peterborough & District Football League are still consulting their member clubs about the way forward.
