A national cup final for one Netherton United side, and a nervous wait for another!

This is actually the conclusion of the 2019/20 Covid-hit season when the Netherton side were playing at under 15 level.

Meanwhile Netherton face a nervous wait to see if they have done enough to win the Under 18 title in the Midlands Junior Premier League.

The city side won their final match 3-2 at Shefford Saints last Saturday, but second placed Dereham still have a game to play and are three points behind.

Dereham need to win their final match at Shefford next month to force a play-off against Netherton. Goal difference is not a factor in this competition

Simon Roberts’ side would have been in a more comfortable place had they not conceded two goals after storming into a 3-0 lead at Shefford last Saturday with goals from Will Howarth (2) and Ethan Camfield.
